The Making of a Jewel
The art behind the jewel.
Seven stages, most of them slow. Nothing here is finished by a machine alone.

01Design
A piece begins on paper. Gouache, pencil, and several arguments about proportion.
- 02
Stone Selection
Stones are laid onto the drawing to test colour, scale and rhythm — matched by eye long before anything is set.
03Craft
Gold is drawn, shaped and soldered into the skeleton the design asks for.
04Setting
Each stone is seated into its bezel by hand — the slowest stage, and the one that decides everything.
- 05
Finishing
Polishing, texture, enamel where the design calls for it, and the last corrections.
06Quality Check
Weight, purity and hallmark are verified, and the finished jewel leaves with its IGI report.
07Final Presentation
The jewel is cleaned, boxed and prepared for the person it was made for.
