Understanding gold purity
Purity is expressed in karats. 22K gold contains more gold and is traditionally used for polki and bridal work; 18K is harder and better suited to fine diamond settings. The purity of every piece we sell is stated on its product page.
Understanding diamonds
Cut, colour, clarity and carat together decide how a diamond behaves in light. Where a diamond is certified, we state the certifying laboratory; where it is not, we say so rather than imply otherwise.
Understanding polki
Polki is diamond in its natural, uncut form, set in gold with a traditional backing. It reads softer than a brilliant-cut stone. Polki is not a lesser diamond — it is a different tradition of using one.
Hallmarking and HUID
Gold jewellery sold in India is BIS hallmarked and carries a Hallmark Unique Identification number where applicable. The hallmark details recorded for your piece are shared with your invoice.
Certificates
Certification is supplied where the piece is certified. We do not issue blanket claims across a collection; attributes come from the record for that individual jewel.
